Your GP, in your town.

We are not only located here. We are part of here.

Aberdeen Surgery is an established general practice at 1 Segenhoe Street, under the blue verandah next to Aberdeen Pharmacy. Farming and stud families, mine workers, long-time locals and young families who have just moved to town all come through the same front door.

Having eight GPs under one roof means more choice of doctor, including female GPs, and care for skin, children, chronic conditions, ADHD and older adults without the drive to a bigger town. When you need a hospital or a specialist, your GP will refer you and keep your care joined up.

What local care means to us.

Five things that shape how the surgery works, from the first phone call to the follow-up.

  1. Skin checks, ADHD care, chronic condition plans, children's health and more, on Segenhoe Street, so fewer trips to a bigger town.

  2. GP consultations are bulk billed for eligible patients with a valid Medicare card. Where a fee applies, reception will tell you before your appointment.

  3. Babies, school kids, working adults and older adults all come through the same front door, and you can ask to see a female GP.

  4. Seeing the same GP where you can means your history stays with someone who knows you. Book with your usual GP online or through reception.

  5. When you need a specialist, allied health or the hospital, your GP refers you and shares what matters, so you do not have to start from scratch.

The people behind the front door.

Eight GPs, a practice manager, a nurse and a reception team who work in and care for the Upper Hunter community.

Everyone is welcome, wherever you live.

Aberdeen Surgery is a bulk billing practice and we are currently accepting new patients. If you are looking for a doctor near Scone or Muswellbrook, we are a short drive along the New England Highway, and you do not need to live locally to book with us.
