Good to know before you book.

  • A written action plan

Your action plan tells you what to do every day, when symptoms get worse, and in an emergency.

Review it at least once a year.

Keeping asthma in check.

Good asthma control means few symptoms, no night waking and no limits on activity. A written action plan, regular preventer use if prescribed, correct inhaler technique, and knowing your triggers all help.

Review your asthma at least once a year, and after any flare-up or hospital visit.

  1. Book an asthma review
  2. Talk it through with your GP
  3. Tests, treatment or referral if needed
  4. Follow-up and review

Severe asthma attack? Follow your action plan and call 000 if you are struggling to breathe or speak, or your lips look blue.
